The Outstanding Patient Experience Award recognizes hospitals for patient satisfaction based on a survey of questions about doctor and nurse communication, hospital cleanliness and noise levels, and medication and post-discharge care instructions. Higher patient ratings can indicate higher quality of care with lower rates of medical errors.
